Even with modern technology I guess news travels too slow for some of us. I know many of Gregg's friends from Delaware are just now hearing of this tragedy. After Gregg moved to NJ we kept in touch regularly for severals years but after time it became not as often but as recent as about 5 or 6 years ago. The last time I spoke to Gregg (around 2004) I was pleased to know he was as happy as ever,

After Gregg moved to NJ we kept in touch regularly for severals years but after time it became not as often but as recent as about 5 or 6 years ago. The last time I spoke to Gregg (around 2004) I was pleased to know he was as happy as ever, he was at a very good point in his very eventful life. Even after all these years most memories become distant or faded but my memories of times with Gregg (and our friends from the high school years) never go to the back of my mind. I love those momories and Gregg was such a big part of the many good times. He was so pleasant, good-natured and funny, I'm very proud to have had him as a friend. I know in his short life he made a difference to everyone he encountered. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

I first remembered Greg from the 6th grade, as we were both in Jimmy Smith's class at Lora Little. He was an active class participant and I remember him winning the ??? yard dash at field day. I also remember what a movie buff he was, even at that age. I think of many good times and conversation with Greg but I remember him at his happiest during the summers, between school years. My parents had several sailboats on the Bohemia river on the northern Chesapeake. We would often bring Greg down for a weekend of sailing and swimming. Greg was well liked by my parents. He particularly loved a spot called "Stillpond" where we would anchor out. There was a rope-swing tied way up in a tree. We would swing about 50' over the water from a cliff and jump off. Greg always looked at the glass as half full and made sure everyone around him had fun. He had the ability to liven things up and make everyone cheeful. My sympathies go out to Mr. and Mrs. Moyer, Vicki, Jen and his kids, who'm I never had the pleasure of knowing. I met Greg when he moved to Arundel in the suburbs of Delaware, we were probably 15 years old. Greg was 5 days older than me. It was summertime and we met in the woods behind the Sherwood Park pool. He walked up to about 10 of us kids hanging out in the park after school, none of us really knew him, he had not lived in the area long, and he tried to introduce himself. Several of the guys hanging out weren't impressed with his looks,he had the look of an intellectual type,which didn't quite fit the look of the guys he had just walked up upon. Several of the guys started throwing pebbles or small rocks at him , telling him to get lost. I saw something different in him. I respected Greg's courage and told the guys to leave him alone. There was a little kidding around but they stopped messing with Greg pretty quick. We formed an instant bond. I never forgot that day or his courage. As our friendship grew in our teen years we attended countless rock concerts together, Greg's mom I believe worked for a place that sold tickets and I had a car, it worked out great. He would get great seats and I would get us to the show. Greg was a great listener, taking the time to show an interest in other people's lifes. I could talk to him about anything. He cared. As the years went by I moved away to Florida and did not see Greg too often, although we talked from time to time. About 4 years ago I was visiting the south New Jersey area quite often to take care of some family business. I visited Greg at his home, it was like I had never moved away and we never quit hanging out. We had a bond and a mutual respect for each other. I was happy to see that he was doing well and it was wonderful to meet and become friends with Colleen and Riley over the past four years. Greg was only one of two people out of everyone I hung out with and knew back in the days we met that I kept in touch with. We could still talk about anything. He would speak his mind. No holds barred. I enjoyed talking to Greg and will miss him. I will always remember his smiling nature and passion to enjoy life.

Daddy, Friday nights driving down the buggy road on the way to the shore listening to Urkel. Cleaning your condo every weekend with the sweet smell of Pledge in the air. Spending hours together waxing your car during those warm, Spring days. Quizzing me on Rolling Stones vs. Beatles songs as well as the five boroughs of New York City. Chewing on the straw of the soda we shared (you never liked that, but I did it anyway). Teaching me

Early memories of the Lane with great friends of yours and where my Daddy’s name was Astro (any Daddy who had a name like Astro was super cool!) What I loved most about you was the fact that you always trusted me to make the right decisions for myself in life. You have never doubted anything I’ve done and I am grateful for that. So far, I know I have made decisions that have made you extremely proud. I promise to continue to make the right decisions for myself and Brian as you look down upon us. I love you and I miss you.
