H. Grady Harper of Pass Christian, Mississippi passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009, at the age of 80. He was born November 22, 1928, in Swainsboro, Georgia to Henry G. Harper and Georgia Moring Harper. Mr. Harper lived the majority of his life in New Orleans, but resided in Pass Christian for the last eight years.
He was a graduate of the New Orleans Academy and attended Tulane University. Mr. Harper owned and operated Grady Harper, Inc. Realtors for over 30 years. He was a past President and board member of the Jefferson Board of Realtors, a member of the Boston Club, Stratford Club and the Pass Christian Yacht Club.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Pamela DePass Harper; his three children Laine Butler Harper, Miriam DePass Harper and husband Peter M. Kahle, and H. Grady Harper, III and wife Ann S. Harper. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren W. Hayden Harper and Ellie E. Harper.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009. Inurnment will follow at Metairie Cemetery. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:30 a.m.
