July 26, 1915 – June 20, 2011
Harold Ray Lowery 95, passed away Monday at his home. Mr. Lowery was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Coast Guard. An aerospace engineer, he retired from NASA in 1980 after twenty-five years of service. He was a long time member of the Meridianville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann; two sons, Michael Lowery and his wife Kathleen of Huntsville; Stephen Lowery and his wife Karen of Meridianville; two daughters Rachel Ray and her husband Graham of Grant; Lana Kyle and her husband Milton of Sevierville, TN. Two foster sons David Cowart and his wife Sherry of Elkmont and Bobby Cowart of Harvest. Several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am until 12 Noon at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Thursday at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Agape of North Alabama or a favorite charity.
