HALIFAX- Harlan G. Reinfeld, age 76, of 708 McClellan Road passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on Aug. 13, 1935 in Mitchell, SD he then moved to the Halifax area in 1952. Harlan served in the PA National Guards 28th division where he attended finance school in Indianapolis, IN. He started his employment with Speece's Dairy, worked for the PA Railroad and then self employed in sales til his retirement. He was a member of Halifax UM Church, VFW Post #5750, American Legion #326, Central Penn Antique & Arms Assoc., NRA, and recipient of the Dauphin County Conservation district's "Outstanding Woodland Conservationist" award in 1981. He was a former Halifax Twp. supervisor. Harlan was a man who had a loving family and many friends and a zest for life and the gift to gab. He loved telling stories and and making people laugh. Harlan enjoyed so many things in life and was able to pursue his dreams. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, military collecting, raising brittney spaniels, farming, talking politics, singing and laughter. He was preceded in death by his father Grant Reinfeld. Surviving in addition to his mother Lillian are his loving and dedicated wife of 55 years Joyce L. (Paul) Reinfeld, two sons, Timothy and his wife Denise and Kerry and his wife Ginny, two daughters Kelly Johnson and her husband Jeffry and Cindy Miller and her husband Jeffrey; six grandchildren Brent Kieffer and his wife Dana, Josh Lenker, Ashley Reinfeld, Zachary Reppert, Kelsey Reppert and Travis Miller, two sisters Annette Gerhart (Dick) and Carol Myers (Harold), a brother Darrel. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 5 from 10-11 am at Halifax U.M. Church. Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 am.
