Harley was born on November 6, 1927 and passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010.

Harley was a resident of Ava, Missouri at the time of his passing.

Harleys active service in the Army began February 20, 1946. When he was honorably discharged on May 5, 1947, he was a part of Company A 532nd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment at Camp Morro Bay, California serving as an engine man. He received the WWll Victory Medal, with the distinction of Sharpshooter Rifleman M-1.

He is survived by his wife Betty.

To honor and celebrate his life, a visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 3rd, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Services will held Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by interment at Whites Creek Cemetery with Military Honors by Ava American Legion #112 and VFW #5993.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Whites Creek Cemetery, Star Chapel, Douglas County Neighbor helping Neighbor or other charities of your choice.
