Harley Rice Harley Eugene Rice, 77, of Reedsville, OH passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at his residence. He was born Nov. 17, 1932 in Tuppers Plains, OH son of the late Wilmer Atlee and Nora Estella Kincade Rice. He was a retired Colonel with the U.S. Army serving 24 years, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Coolville Masonic Lodge 337 F&AM, Tuppers Plains VFW Post 9053 and also a member of the Riverside Golf Club in Mason, WV. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis E. Schultz Rice; 2 sons, Harley A. (Robyn) Rice of Reynoldsburg, OH and Steven E. (Erin) Rice of Mechanicsville, VA; a daughter, Diane E. (Don) Dunfee of Racine, OH; a brother, John C. (Anna) Rice of Reedsville, OH; 2 sisters, Wilma (Rex) Robinson of Coolville, OH and Iris Mae (Frank) Karhan of Orrville, OH; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin, Nathan, Aidan, Daniel and David. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor Jim Corbitt officiating. Burial will be in the Meigs County Memory Gardens, where military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
