Harold Douglas "Hal" Graham, 73 of Biekkola Road, Rumely, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 28, 2011 at his residence in the presence of his loving family and in the care of Lake Superior Hospice. Hal was born on March 15, 1938 in Detroit, a son of the late Leonard and Verna (Feltmate) Graham. On February 2, 1963 he married the former Regina Grauds in Detroit. Hal proudly served his country with the United States Air Force. He retired from Hamburg Township Police Department in Livingston County as a police officer in October of 1999 and moved to the Rumely area in 2003. Hal enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing as well as working on old cars. He is survived by four children, Robert W. (Jennifer) Graham of Allen Park, Sherry L. Joseph of Trenary, Shelly A. Walker of Howell and Kurt M. (Sandra) Graham of Rumely; nine grandchildren, Leanna (Matt), Rebecca, Gregory, Elizabeth, Tatijana, Lydia, Kurtis Jr.(Katie), Rene (Robert) and Melanie; four great grandchildren, Melanie Marie, Derek, Adalyn and Madison. Preceding him in death besides his parents was his wife, Regina Graham on September 6, 2003; also a brother, Leonard Graham and a sister, Verna Lee Dwight. At Mr. Graham's request, there will be no public funeral service held. Memorials can be made to the Lake Superior Hospice Association, 914 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 48955 in Hal's memory.
