Harold Tacker died in Mesquite, Texas at the age of 61 in a motorcycle accident June 12, 2013. Harold was born in Dallas, Texas September 3, 1951 to Willa and Ace Tacker. He attended elementary school in Dallas until the family moved to Mesquite where he attended Agnew middle school and Mesquite High School. He worked at Safeway stores 12 years. He worked part-time for the Dallas Times Herald till it was sold to the Dallas Morning News where he progressed from carrier to contractor and served in that capacity for approximately 20 years. He also owned a remodeling business for a period of several years. Harold was preceded in death by both parents and younger sister Dora. Harold is survived by his junior highschool sweetheart Linda of 44 years and her parents Troy and Jessie Spencer ; two sons, Keith and Kevin Tacker; sister-in-law Terri McIntosh and husband Randy; two sisters, Mary Maddy and husband, Jim, Alice Gregory and husband, Ray. Harold has 6 beloved grandchildren Kevin Tacker Jr., Shelby and Spencer Tacker, Chase, Chelsea and Chance Knight. There are a great number of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as myriad friends, many who have known Harold from his childhood days. Harold shared a great love of traveling with his wife and they were usually in the process of planning a trip to go anywhere they could just enjoy one another's company, whether it was a 2 day or 20 day trip. Harold's passions were his wife, sons, grandchildren and his little rescue chi-weenie Ginger who spent each evening nestled in his lap.
