Harold Richard Dugger, Jr., slipped away peacefully January 28, 2012, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on February 26, 1947 to Harold R. Dugger, Sr. and Bertha Dugger. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Paul Dugger; his father, Harold R. Dugger, Sr.; granddaughter, Aleeyah Marie Dugger; and sister, Pearl Persinger. He served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA after 35 years of service. Survivors include his mother Bertha Dugger; his wife of 41 years, Peggy Dugger; sons, Harold R. Dugger, III (Angie), Bradley J. Dugger (Shenieva); and daughter, Holly H. Dugger-Wilson(Donnell); a brother, Edward Dugger (Kathy) of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Joan Dugger (Ray) of North Carolina and Pat Norton of Norfolk, VA; 10 grandchildren, Lee, Victoria, Chris, Alita, Zavier, Amanda, Frankie, Aleecia, and Elijah; one great grandson, Damien; special aunt and uncle, Stella and Vernon Bridges of Arizona; and his nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the service a reception will be held at the Clubhouse at Harpers Square Virginia Beach. He will be greatly missed.
