Harold D. Teter, 80, P.O. 506, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at 10:49 a.m., at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. Harold was born on November 14, 1931, in Decatur, Illinois, to H. Leo and Hazel (Babcock) Teter. Harold served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Harold and Donna Lee Corwin were married on August 3, 1951. Harold and Donna started the Dairy Bar in Walkerton, Indiana, from 1956-1966. They opened Harold's Pizza in 1967 to 1980, then Granny's in 1980 until the time of his retirement, when his son David and Prelyn took over the business. He was a driving instructor for the Porsche Club of America as well as participating in Porsche racing. Harold also was craftsman. He enjoyed working with wood and created many treasures from tin. Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Teter; their sons, David and Prelyn Teter of Plymouth and Alan and Randi Teter of Simla, Colorado. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also survive. Harold's family would like to invite you to stop in at Granny's, 112 South Center Street, Plymouth, anytime between Noon-2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, and share a piece of pizza with them, in Harold's memory.
