Harold W. Kellihan, 63, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away October 8, 2011. A native of Cerro Gordo, NC, he was the son of the late Francis and Mable Kellihan. He retired from the US Army as a Master Sargent after 20 years of service, having served during Vietnam and received 4 Purple Hearts. He also retired from Civil Service at the Norfolk Naval Base. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kellihan; a step-daughter, Denise Wheeler and husband Mickey of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Paula Kellihan of Grandy, NC and JoAnn Kellas of Virginia Beach, VA; and three grandchildren, Kaitlin, Courtney and Michael Wheeler. He was predeceased by a brother, James Kellihan. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
