Harriett Lou Davidson, 78, a resident of Russellville, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at her home.
She was born March 24, 1933, at Russellville to Bryan and May Coffee Bull. She was a former member of the Russellville Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, was co-founder/owner of Tommy Davidson Trucking Company and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and Cleora Bull; her husband, Thomas J. Davidson; a son, Flint J. Davidson; a sister, Jewel Falls Lane; and two brothers, Bryan Bull Jr. and Jack Bull.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Lou Stewart of Russellville; four grandchildren, Dr. Sheri Lou Swader and husband, Derek, of Cullman, Alabama, Heather McConnell and husband, Kerry, of Longview, Texas, Dr. Gary Dobbs and Erica Mellick of Fairfax, Virginia and Thomas James Stewart of Russellville; three great-granddaughters, Avery G. Swader, Emily Lou Swader and Keighley Esther McConnell; a great-grandson, Alexander M. Swader; two brothers, George Vaughn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Robert Whitfield of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Thom Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Dobbs, Thomas James Stewart, Derek Swader, Kerry McConnell, Roger Stewart and Lyndon Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Joe Schuss, David Davidson, Todd Sweeden, Aaron Janus and Mike Sisson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
