Harry L. Blair
Greenville, SC
Harry L. Blair, 74, husband of Donna Brown Blair, of 537 Rockmont Road, died November 2, 2011.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late LeRoy and Maudale Pierce Blair.
Mr. Blair received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Clemson University and was employed with Daniel, Yeargin, Poinsette Construction, and later owned H. L. Blair and Associates. He was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Ham House Men's Bible Study. He was an avid golfer, and at the age of 72, on Father's Day, he scored his age.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Harry "Butch" Blair, Jr. of Greenville, John Blair and Joel Blair; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Matthew Williams of Mishawaka, IN, and Ashley and Marcus McConaghy of Greenville; and ten grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Hampton Heights Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Stephenson, the Rev. Allen Smith and the Rev. Larry Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hampton Heights Baptist Church, 2511 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, SC 29615.
