Harry Leroy Toppin, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1973, departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Marjorie; daughters Terri, Sharon, and Jennifer; sisters Mary Stallworth, Marie Johnson, Wilda Graham, Jill Battle; and brother, Michael Bartee. He is also survived by his brother-in-law William Clay and sister-in-law Corinne Ingram; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a host of friends. Mr. Toppin was preceded in death by his mother Inona Bartee; his father Harry L. Toppin Sr.; and his grandson Phillip H. Blair. Harry retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service and worked another 20 years at the Department of Energy. Harry worshipped at the Kirtland AFB Chapel for more than 30 years and was a lay reader and usher. He was a dedicated member of the Prostrate Cancer Support Association (PCSA) for many years and also served meals at Project Share. Harry was Past Master of the Mount Everest Masonic Lodge #1, where he served over 20 years as the instructor for new masons. He was also a member of San Hedrin Consistory #69, attaining the 33rd degree, and Past Potentate of Luxor Temple #202.Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE, Wednesday, November 23, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held Friday, November 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, at 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE with Chaplain Mark Mansberger officiating. Interment will take place at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prostate Cancer Support Association (PCSA) of New Mexico, Inc. at 909 Virginia NE, Suite #109, Albuquerque, NM, 87108. Arrangements by French Mortuary at 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87125.
