Hazel Belle (Jones) Moore the daughter of Lee and Bessie (Waters) Jones was born January 31, 1920 in Estherville, Iowa. She died on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 89.
She received her education in Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School in 1937.
On July 7, 1938 she was united in marriage to Willard Moore at her parents home in Estherville. The couple made their home in Estherville and Hazel sold Avon Products for 25 years. Willard died in 1989. Hazel enjoyed reading as a hobby.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was past Deacon and active in the women's organizations. She was also active with AARP.
Left to cherish Hazel's memory are her children, Carol Oleson and her husband, Chauncy of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Janet Brandenburg and her husband, Jim of Owatonna, Minnesota; Kevin Moore of Estherville; William "Bill" Moore and Greg Horner of Atlanta, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and 4 step great grandchildren.
She has been preceded in death by her husband, parents, great grandson, Ethan Brandenburg and sister, Marjorie Naas and her husband, Sam.
