Rev. Headley Thweatt, age 86, of Benton, KY, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was a retired Baptist Minister and member of First Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Isome Thweatt and the late Minnie (Rose) Thweatt.
He is survived by his wife: Myrlin (Nichols) Thweatt; sons: Rev. Mark Thwett, Benton, KY, Kevin Thweatt, South Lyon, MI; daughters: Ellen Northcott, Benton, KY, Pamela Howard, Palm City, FL; sister: Ernestine Staples, Benton, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Mary Thweatt; 1 son; 2 sisters: and 3 brothers.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.
Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2011, Rev. Mark Thweatt, Rev. Don Wilson, Rev. Terry Clapp, and Greg Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, KY.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
