Pawleys Island: Helen Crane Casselman, 66, died Thursday, April 21, 2911, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Casselman was born in Andrews on April 7, 1945, the daughter of the late Leroy Crane and Mildred Bryan Crane. She grew up in Andrews and lived in Pawleys Island for many years. Mrs. Casselman was a contributor to many causes including cancer, lung, and heart associations. She was a member of the Midway Fire Department volunteers and an avid NASCAR fan. Mrs. Casselman was the widow of David Casselman. Surviving are: two daughters, Melinda Casselman and Eve Eggiman (Doug), both of Pawleys Island; her companion of thirty years, Stanley Thompson; and three grandchildren, Stephanie, Tiffany, and Victoria Eggiman. Funeral services will be ten o’clock Saturday morning, April 23, 2011, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
