Mrs. Helen E. Miller, 96, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday November 20, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in La Porte, IN. She was born August 20, 1914 in Beaman, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin I DeWitt and Rebecca J. (Wilson) DeWitt. Helen was a homemaker and helped take care of the elderly. She was a Jehovah Witness. In Nov of 1935, in Missouri, she married Lloyd H. Miller who preceded in death in April of 1953. She is survived by 2 nieces. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, and three brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. A memorial service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday November 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM with Thomas Troxell officiating. Cremation will take place.
