Helen George, 98, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne surrounded by her loving family. Born in Vesheny, Macedonia, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church and the their Women's Guild. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Janet) George and daughter, Dorothy Lazoff both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Dr. Thomas (Erin) Lazoff, Chris (Kari) George both of Fort Wayne, and Jennifer (Jim) Palilonis of Muncie; great-grandchildren, Anesa and Elena Lazoff, Taya and Trent George, and Quinn and Gage Palilonis; brother, Steve (Barbara) Mileff of Cape Coral, FL; four nieces and three nephews. Helen was preceded in death by husband, Christ George in 1976; and brother John Mileff. Service is 11a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Avenue with calling one hour prior, Fr.George Smith officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
