Helen (Gilbertson) Harwood of Phoenix AZ passed peacefully August 21st in Phoenix at 92. Her husband of 49 years Wilfred Harwood formerly of Whitinsville passed in 1999. She leaves her daughter and son in law Bette and Dave Engelking of Phoenix, her sister Elinor Bonin of North Grafton, two grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Beatrice (Woodcock) Gilbertson, one brother A, Norman Gilbertson and one sister Dorothy Erickson. Mrs. Harwood was born in Worcester September 18, 1918 had lived in North Grafton and Whitinsville prior to moving to Arizona. She was a former parishioner of Trinity Episcopal Church in Whitinsville and St. Andrews Episcopal Church in North Grafton. Donations honoring her may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church 53 N. Main St. N. Grafton MA 01536 or to a charity of the donor's choice in lieu of flowers. Funeral Services A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 53 N. Main St. North Grafton Saturday September 3rd at 11 am. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Pine Grove Cemetery North Grafton. There are no calling hours.
