Helen Jane Jefferson Ragas

Helen Jane Jefferson Ragas passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at River Region Hospice at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee Jefferson and Amelia Stock Jefferson; the beloved wife of the late Felix Arthur Ragas, Jr. Helen is preceded in death by her cherished brother, Stephen Herbert Jefferson. She is survived by her devoted sister, Norma Ruth Jefferson, and her loving daughters: Jane Ragas Sherman (David), Eileen Ragas Boudreau (Tony), Lisa Ragas Laurendine (Tommy) and Paula Amelia Ragas. Loving grandmother of Philip, Matthew (Emily) and Amelia Sherman; Nicholas and Sarah Boudreau; Jessica, Rachel (Chad Boes), Travis and Wesley Laurendine; beloved aunt of Stephen Jefferson (Sandi) and Janice Roper (Charles) and cousin of Janice and Garrett (Kathy) Morford.
She was a parishioner of St. Angela Merici since 1965. Her greatest joy in life came from her involvement with her family who adored her.

Relatives and friend are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. at 10:00 AM. Friends may visit after 8:30 AM.
