Helen June Byrd, 81, of the 3900 block of Spring Meadow Crescent, Chesapeake, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2011. A native of Chadburn, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Effie McCleney, and the widow of Grady S. Byrd. She was a Manager in the Pharmaceutical business. She is survived by her daughter, Helen D. Barbato, her son, James G. McLamb, granddaughter, Misty S. Barbato and her fiance William S. Perris, and two great granddaughters, Ameera D. Perris and Neynah G. Perris all of Chesapeake, VA; and a sister, Rachel Nance of North Carolina. A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
