Helen Mangano, 83, passed away June 7, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband William Mangano passed away in 1987. She is survived by her sons Bill Mangano and his wife Janet and Paul Mangano and his wife Holly and daughter Barbara Carlson and her husband Steve. She also leaves her grandchildren Kelsey, Reaghan, Nicolas and Ryan Mangano and Jonathan and Erica Carlson along with several nieces and nephews. Helen was born July 3, 1927 in Worcester, daughter of the late Amelia (Petrocevicz) and George Yonaitis. She was raised by the late Barbara B. and Stephen J. Shatas. Helen grew up in Worcester, married William in 1957 and moved to Grafton where they raised their family. Family was always her center as she took great pride in caring for her children and grandchildren in their loving home. Helen's friends will remember her as always having a caring ear to listen and the gift of her time with them that she gave so often. She was also an avid reader and devoted patron of the Grafton Public Library where she will be missed. In lieu of flowers her family requests memorial donations to Friends of the Grafton Public Library PO Box 387 Grafton, MA 01519. FUNERAL MASS AND BURIAL A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Helen Friday June 10th at 12:00pm at St. Philip's Church 12 West St. in Grafton. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at St. Philip Cemetery on Millbury St. in Grafton. There are no calling hours.
