COLUMBIA A graveside service for Helen Nadine Toal Broadwell, 90, will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street is assisting the family.
Mrs. Broadwell passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2012. Born in Columbia, on November 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William and Eunice Livingston. She was a graduate of Dreher High School and Preston College. She worked for the OSS during WWII and retired from Richland County Service Office, South Carolina Vocational Rehab and Shandon Presbyterian Church. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J. Patrick and Paula Toal; a special cousin, Mrs. Betty Gailey and two furry companions.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PETS, Inc., 300 Orchard Drive, West Columbia, SC 29191 or other animal shelters of one's choice.
