Helen R. McIntire

God saw she was getting tired so He put His arms around her and whispered “Come with me.” Helen R. McIntire, 92 of Medina went home to the Lord on Monday, December 28, 2009 with her loving friends and family beside her. She was born August 18, 1917 in Cleveland to Roy and Mooch Link and was a homemaker. Helen was a member of Strongsville Senior Center and St. Francis Xavier Parish. She loved to play pinochle and bingo, enjoyed bowling, roller skating, and an occasional off-color joke! She loved her family with all her heart. Mrs. McIntire is survived by her husband of 36 years Billy McIntire; children Robert (Carol) Tessman and Rita (Ken) Burroughs; grandchildren Karen (Robert) Miller, Jackie Tessman, Janine Chmielewski, and Whitney Taylor; and great-grandchildren Charles Francis Leftridge IV and Porter Wayne Crenshaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Kenneth Burroughs, Jr. Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Church. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
