Mrs. Helen Morrison Rutherford, age 80, of McDonough, GA passed away September 29, 2011. Mrs. Rutherford was born in Palmer, TN the daughter of the late Jesse Thomas and Lola Nunley Morrison. She was also preceded in death by several siblings. Mrs. Rutherford was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends, traveling, taking cruises, shopping, and cooking. Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Bill Rutherford of McDonough; children, Melody Black (William) of Peachtree City and Greg Rutherford (Robin) of Hampton; grandchildren, Haley Horne, Jacob Rutherford, Allie Black, Whitney Dodson, Adam Black, Morgan Rutherford, A. J. Youngs, and Lindsey Youngs ; great grandchildren, Kyle and Peyton Horn and Mayzin Easey; sister, Mary Cagle of McDonough; brothers, Henry Morrison of McDonough and Jim Morrison of Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving family members. Funeral service for Mrs. Rutherford will be Sunday, October 2, 2011 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
