Hendrika Paulina Brouwers Van Sleeuwen

Hennie was born May 29, 1924 in Rotterdam Holland to Marinus and Paulina Brouwers. She married Cornelis Van Sleeuwen April 28, 1943. They had three wonderful children. The family immigrated to America in 1955. They felt that America would provide greater opportunities for the children. Con & Hennie were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on April 27, 1956.

Hennie was a talented seamstress and she loved to knit. She also enjoyed Saturday morning yard sales and loved finding bargains and treasures. She enjoyed surrounding herself with beautiful things.

Hennie is survived by her husband, Con; daughter Iris Spek (Ben); sons Paul Van Sleeuwen (Jody) and Ron Van Sleeuwen (Janet). She and Con had twelve grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents and grandson, Benji.

Graveside services will be Saturday, April 16, 2011 ~ 10:00 at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah .
