Mr. Hiram Lamar Moss, age 63, of Locust Grove, GA passed away June 14, 2012. Mr. Moss was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Alvin Felix and Leila Moore Moss. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Moss. Mr. Moss enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains and being outdoors. Survivors are his wife, Margie Moss of Locust Grove; children, Starr Moss of Jackson, Marty Ameriane of McDonough, Ricky Moss of Jackson, Donna Roberts of McDonough, Steve Crane Jr of Zebulon, and Lisa Jackson of McDonough; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Janice Tallent, Rex Moss, Jean Butler, Connie Taylor, Linda King and Larry Moss; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Moss will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Hopkins officiating. Papa ....i can't believe your in heaven.... and it still feels so unreal..mommy, daddy and stevie loved having you stay with us the time you did.... you were such a wonderful papa, and i really wish i could see you again... sitting in your recliner.. watching law and order....with your glasses on and flanel shirts.... i miss you more than words can even express right now.. alot of people don't realize how close you and me were to each other

To My Wonderful Brother,

I know you are in Peace and are walking the streets
of gold with our "Lord" and "Mother", what better place
could there be. I know the saint's are singing with Joy and
opened their arms to welcome you "Home", what a glorious day
it must have been for you when the heavens opened to receive you home.
I know that someday that we will see each other again so this is not
goodbye instead I will see you again when the Lord is ready for me.
Thanks for being the wonderful brother and for the time that we shared
together all of our lives. You were my friend and protector always
and for this I am thankful for the brother you were.

Paw Paw Lamar,
I can't believe that you are gone. It makes me sad that I cannot see you anymore, but I know that you are in a much better place and you are not in pain anymore. I am sure you are up there drinking a big glass of sweet tea wearing your white sneakers like you always did! I remember spending Christmas with you and Margie, I always looked forward to that. You were a great Paw Paw and I always looked up to you. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I know that one day we will be together again! Thank you for being so nice to Kahlee, you always made her feel welcome. I will take care of Margie for you!

Daddy,
I hope you knew how much I loved you and how much you meant to me. At anytime, I could call you and you would listen to all my complaints. You always comforted me and told me with your gentle voice that everything was going to be alright. How was I to know that there was so little time for us to spend together. "Walmart,"
You were my step grandpa but nobody would have ever known! You have been in my life for a very long time and I'm going to miss you so much! I have so many great memories of you its hard to say all but the one I remember the most is when I would come over to spend the night. You, grandma, and me would always go out to eat and on the way to eat we would turn on oldies in the car and we would just sing our hearts out! I miss you sooooooo much but I know God wanted you home so there would be no more suffering! I hope you got you some white tennis shoes up there and you put them all the way on! haha Thanks for loving my grandma the way you did!
