Hope M. Rios, 80 of Stockton took her place in Heaven on Thursday December 15th, 2011. Hope M. Rios was born in Livingston, California to the late Antonio and Dolores Moreno.
Hope lived most of her life here in Stockton, CA where she worked at Haley Brothers and California Growers as a seasonal cannery worker before becoming a full time housewife in 1985. Hope always looked forward to playing bingo, which got her the nickname "Bingo Mama", going to Jackson Rancheria and buying her lottery scratchers.
Hope is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Martin G. Rios, her children Richard Ordez (Tina), Edward Ordez (Vickie), Joe Ordez, Teresa Duenas, Patsy Ordez and Paula Ferrer (David) all of Stockton. Her brothers, Alfonso Moreno, Ernie Moreno, Andrew Moreno, the late Manuel and Rudy Moreno, sisters Angie Mesa and Rosie Avila. Hope is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, which were all very special to her.
Friends and Family are invited to attend visitation 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20th, at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street. Final visitation will also be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 21st 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., then a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main Street. Committal at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine Street, in Lodi, CA.
