Horace Chapman
Easley – Horace Eugene Chapman, 70, husband of Judy O'Shields Chapman passed from this life Friday evening, January 20, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Horace was born in Oconee County, a son of the late Elbert and Edith Patterson Chapman. He was owner and operator of Horace's Auto Sales in Easley and he was a member of The Easley Church of God. Horace was a U. S. Army Veteran and received a A.S. degree in business from Greenville Technical College.
Surviving in addition to his wife Judy is his son, Patrick Chapman (Hope) of Greer, step-daughter, Misty Ross (Tim) of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Grayson, Olivia, and Seth Chapman, and step-grandchildren, Tevan, Tierra, and Terell Snell. Also surviving is a brother, James Chapman of Seneca and sisters, Doris Whitmire of Liberty, Betty Couch and Myrtle McJunkin both of Pickens.
In addition to his parents, Horace was preceded in death by a step-son, Trent Mauldin and brothers, Homer and Olen Chapman.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with the Reverend David Sustar and the Reverend Steve Knight officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
