My condolence goes out to you and your family. I know how much your dad meant to you. You did so much for him and he will greatly be missed. I know the fond memories you shared together will help you through this difficult time.

Dean, please accept my condolences over the passing of your Dad. Although I never got to meet him, your stories painted a vivid picture of a kind, loving and independent man. He was such a funny guy ! he would try to guess and remember my name! only twice did he guess it the first time and then remembered it. but he was the one who created all the guy or girl nicknames for me. he would start calling me BOB, JOE , Alexander, Allison, , the new one he gave me was Abraham. we both laughed every time he gave me a guy name . i told him that wasnt my name , but i gave up and let him call me whatever he wanted. i thought it was funny ! so did he . one of my other residents always went over there to him during dinner, and she thought that Howard and her were married, he always looked at me like , she doesnt knw what she is talking bout , or sometimes he would just smile at me and tell me , hi bob or joe !! i said Hi Howard , he said Hi , I said whats my Howard , he would guess and say Bob or Joe , this last time he called me Abraham. he was a very funny guy!! fun to be around. always checking out the girl caregivers, so funny. when i heard of his passing , i was in complete shock. Dean and family , im sooooo sorry for your lose !! i and the rest of the workers at Elmcroft Senior Living just enjoyed his company, and his humor ! we will miss him dearly , but he is at peace now having lots of fun in Heaven !! we will all see him again one day !! thank you for letting us take care of such a wonderful , funny , man !!

Sending the Husmers out west lots of love and prayers from your family in NH. Keeping you all in thoughts. I'm sure that Uncle Howie is playing golf with my Grandpa in the big golf course in heaven.

He will be missed.

Say hi to my parents when you see them, tell them I'm doing ok, thanks to them, and that I think of them everyday and miss them but know we will all be together someday and not to worry about us down here, they did a great job preparing us for all this.

My favorite memories of Uncle Howard were at Goose Rocks Beach. He was always there for us kids standing tall with a big smile and wearing his green swim trunks. Our hikes to Timber Island and the Rocks were always a great adventure. He will be missed but never out of my memories.

I will always remember Howe as a complete gentleman who was very gracious.
He always remembered all his grandchildren's names and what they were doing with their lives.
When I last saw him in Austin, Texas at my brother and sister-in-law's 50th anniversary celebration, he remembered the names of our three children .
I know he loved to watch golf on TV and I hope he was able to do that until the end. He knew all the golfers' names and past histories, where they won or didn't .
I am sure he and Dorothy are together again.
