Executive for J. Walter Thompson Agency Howard was born and raised in Freeport, New York and lived there for 34 years. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and worked for N.W. Ayer, and Cunningham & Walsh both in New York City. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving during WWII. After moving to the Detroit area Howard worked for J. Walter Thompson for 40 years. He enjoyed antiques and scrimshaw. He also loved spending time on Lake Huron. Howard was the loving husband of Irene and is also survived by his daughters, Jane Wienner (S. Thomas) and Patrice Peters (John), grandchildren, Joel, and Katherine Peters and Adam and Carly Wienner. Services were held privately. Howard rests at the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, columbarium.
