Mr. Howard W. Fenno

The time I spent with Howard was enjoyable and I was always excited when he made his way up North to North Dakota. I will always be greatful for the friendship he shared with my Grandmother.

Howard was a truly unique personality who will be remembered by far too many to estimate.

I met Howard when I worked investigations at McConnell. I assisted him several times and enjoyed our talks. Eventually I moved away, but then returned to McConnell. Howard was at the Commissary one day and it was like we had not missed a beat. I ran into him often, I will miss our talks and him calling me Sarge. My thoughts and prayers are with you his family. May the memories you have keep a warm spot in your heart.

Howard was a special man to us here in North Carolina. He quickly became a close friend to my entire family. He was quick witted, loved to laugh, and loved to talk! Every holiday, I could always expect a special card from him, regretfully, I have never been good at sending cards, but I do have every single one that he sent to me! I had the pleasures of listening to him play the piano and the accordian and he was beyond awesome! I also experienced dining out with him while he carried on with the waitress/waiter. I don't think he ever met a stranger! He enjoyed life and didn't let his age slow him down, driving from Kansas to Georgia then on to North Carolina. He definately left sincere footprints in our lives and we will dearly miss him.
