Ila G. Stamps, 81, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at St Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Monticello, KY, Ila worked as an Assembly worker with Wayne Home Equipment for 20+ years. She was a member of Shilo Chapter of the Eastern Star since 1970. Ila loved her family and enjoyed making crafts of all types, quilting, canning and making family dinners.she was passionate about her garden and all of her many flowers.
Surviving are her sons, Bobby R. Atkinson of Fort Wayne, IN, Bill (LeAnn) Atkinson of Las Vegas, NV daughter, Debbie (Jim) Fraizer of Fort Wayne, IN 9 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren long time friend, Ann Krock of Ft. Wayne, IN 4 brothers and a sister . Ila was preceded in death by her parents,Obie and Gertie Denney, husband, Ted Atkinson, daughter and son in law Norma and Clyde Mitchell, 1 brother, 1 sister,and a son, Gary E. Atkinson.
Service is 2:00 pm, November 14, 2011 at - D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, calling one hour prior with Pastor Gene Branscomb officiating. Calling also at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake AvenueSunday, November 13, 2011 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
