Iluminada “Luming” Javid Remojo was born on September 22, 1929 in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines to parents Julian Remojo and Leonora Javid. Back home, she spent her time taking care of her family as a homemaker.

When she settled in Oxnard, California, Grandma Luming became a member of Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions, where she volunteered to help disabled children at Brekke Elementary School. Luming enjoyed spending her time with friends, loved ones, and attending social gatherings.

Iluminada passed peacefully to be with the Lord on January 22, 2011 at the age of 81. She leaves behind her three children Erlinda, Roberto and Apollo, as well as her four grandchildren Alvin, Carl, Caroline, and Felicity.
