Imogene Smith - Age 78 - of Cedar Ridge Drive, Union Grove died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born in Marshall County, Alabama, August 1, 1932, the Daughter of Cecil and Eula Samantha Bartlett. She was originally from Grant, a Graduate of D. A. R. High School but had lived in the Union Grove area for the past 50 years. She was a member of Union Grove First Baptist Church and Union Grove Eastern Star. She retired in 1988 from H. D. Lee Company as an Inspector.
She was Preceded In Death By her Husband: L. D. Smith (December 20, 1997), Two Daughters: Sandra Delane Smith and Linda Diane Smith, her Parents: Cecil and Eula Samantha Bartlett and Two Brothers: James Bartlett and Charles Bartlett.
Imogene is survived by Two Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Leon David Smith and Sherry of Union Grove and Roger Daniel Smith, Sr. and Wendy also of Union Grove; a Daughter and Son-In-Law: Susan and Stan Simpson of Union Grove; 9 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren; Three Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Clayton Bartlett of Georgia, Cecil Bartlett, Jr. and Kathy of Arab and Larry Rayburn Bartlett and Kathy of Georgia; Three Sisters and Brother-In-Law: Maggie Grider of Guntersville, Mary Bates of Georgia and Billie and Neil Schultz of Prattville and a Special Friend: Doris Breedwell of Union Grove.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Mike Glenn, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be John D. Dunn, Al Grider, John David Hawkins, Chris Simpson, Daniel Smith and Thomas Snider.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
