Mrs. Imogene Langley Vickers, age 84, of Jackson, GA passed away January 6, 2012. Mrs. Vickers was born in Camp Hill, AL the daughter of the late Exa Louise Murray and George Quimby Langley. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Langley. Mrs. Vickers enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, traveling, the beach and playing practical jokes on family and friends. Survivors are her husband, Hayden Vickers of Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Heather Vickers of Jackson; grandchildren, Katie Vickers, Jennifer Vickers and Travis Vickers; siblings, Pete Langley of McDonough, Louise Hoffman of Alabama and Murray Langley of LaGrange. A memorial service for Mrs. Vickers will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough with Rev. Alvie Rodgers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A committal service will be held at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness, % of Hamilton State Banks in Jackson, Georgia in Mrs. Vickers memory.
