Inez Bracken Christensen, loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, aunt and friend, peacefully returned home to a joyous reunion with loved ones, on June 2, 2011. Born January 22, 1920, in Cedar City, Utah, the 3rd of seven children, to Clara Hamblin and William Wallace Bracken. Great-granddaughter of Jacob Hamblin, (bodyguard and friend to Brigham Young). Married Don Eugene Christensen, September 5, 1939. Sealed in the St. George Temple on June 25, 1940. Don passed away December 20, 1968, in Delta, Utah.
Graduated from Hurricane High School and attended Cosmetology School in Salt Lake City. Worked for the Tower House in the mid fifties, and then manager at Bratten’s Sea Food Grotto for 27 years. Worked at American Covers, Inc. part time at 75 years old. Decided to get her driver’s license at age 50. Member of the LDS Ming Branch for the past 6 years.

Mom had a love for animals, nurturing them and nursing them back to health. She was a dedicated, hard worker, with a great and spirited sense of humor. Her doll collection was inspired by her mother who owned a doll hospital and antique shop in California.

Survived by children; Michael Don, Reginald James (Susan), and daughter Terri Lee Kener (Stan). Brother, Gail Bracken, Reno, NV. 14 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great- grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, brothers; Bennett, Hamblin, Ronald, and Wayne Bracken, sister; Marian Nebeker.
Our family is ever grateful to the wonderful care our Mother received at the Sandy Regional Care Facility for the past few years. Thank you.
