Inez Lavern "Arkie" Lay Proctor Troutman, age 74, a resident of Scottsville, Arkansas died Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born March 9, 1929, near Appleton, Arkansas to the late George and Luma McEntire Lay. She worked for many years as a waitress. She enjoyed canning, crossword puzzles, and game shows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Luther Jackson Proctor and Harry E. Troutman; a daughter, Debra Gail Proctor; a brother, Earnest McEntire; and a sister, Ladoyce Marie Boyd.
Survivors include 3 sons, Dalas Proctor of Dover, Arkansas, Dale Proctor of Nardin, Oklahoma, and Dennis Proctor of Alexander, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
The body was cremated with arrangements by Shinn Funeral Service. The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date. Burial will be in the Appleton Cemetery at Appleton.
