Inez Marie Crabb, 89, of Marquette, died Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011 at Marquette General Hospital. She was born September 16, 1922, in Negaunee, MI, a daughter of the late Frank O. and Lydia (Juvani) Burkman. Inez attended Negaunee High School and was a 1940 graduate. On January 30, 1943 she married Richard R. Crabb in Negaunee and he preceded her in death in 2005. The family moved often, living in Connecticut, Florida and Virginia where Richard was stationed while serving in the navy, before returning to the area. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Her interests included time spent with family, casino trips, reading and watching "Nancy Grace". Inez is survived by her children, Richard K. (Dorothy) Crabb, Tamara R. Crabb and Gary B. Crabb, all of Marquette; brother, Kenneth O. Burkman of Marquette; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Patricia Burkman of Marquette and Barbara Crabb of Ishpeming; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, George William Burkman and an infant daughter. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. David Van Kley and Rev. Amanda Kossow officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
