Inis Lorene Gann, 89 of Granite City passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Edwardsville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Inis was born on July 15, 1923 in Eminence, MO. She was the Director of Happy Day Child Care Center at 1st Assembly of God in Granite City. She was a member of 1st Assembly of God church, where she was the last of the charter members. In her spare time she enjoyed directing the Saints Alive Senior Choir at church; loved to sew, play the piano and organ and was a still life artist, painting woodland scene's and anything that was in nature. She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter-in-law; Cheryl Gann of Granite City; grandchildren, Garrin Bryce Gann of Granite City, Jena LeeAnn & (Jeremy) Walter of Eldred, PA; great-grandchildren, Victoria Gann of Granite City, Noah, Riley & Logan Walter all of Eldred, PA; special niece Marilyn Jones and several other special friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband; Arthur Hershel Gann; her parents, Dolphus M. & Ada B. (Faulkenberry) Bolton; son, Gerald "Jerry" Gann; sisters, Wilma Bolton, Nola Heiney; brothers, Vern Bolton, Pete Bolton & Harley Bolton. In celebration of her life a memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 1st Assembly of God, 2317 Madison Ave. in Granite City with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. C. Dale Edwards and Rev. Richard Smallie officiating. Memorials are suggested to 1st Assembly of God. Irwin Chapel in Granite City is serving the family.
