Ira "Wendell" Harbaugh, 68, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Sumner, IL, he worked with Cunningham Optical for 45 years as manager. Prior to that he worked for AMF of Olney, IL He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Wanda O'Hara of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Delmus (Betty) Harbaugh of Brownsboro, AL, Vonda (Richard) Cook of Cleveland, TN Shirley Hawley of Mosherville, MI, and Phillip (Kay) Harbaugh of Olney, IL; Several surrogate children, grandchildren; Michael, Jeffrey, Leland, Camrin; and his several nieces and nephews. Ira was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Juanita (Bridgette) Harbaugh; sister, Donna Kermicle; and brother, Francis Harbaugh. No service or visitations at Wendell's request.
