Irene Elizabeth Cutlip Jarrell, 92, of Ironton passed away Thursday (March 11, 2010) at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born November 25, 1917 the daughter of the late Basil and Nora Webb Cutlip.
Irene was a former waitress for Alonzo's Restaurant in Baltimore, MD and Ironton. She was a member of Central Christian Church and a former foster grandmother at the Open Door School in Ironton. She was born and raised in Lawrence County, where she spent most of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by:
2 sisters: Helen Alonzo and Betty Hewitt
She is survived by:
several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews
a brother-in-law: Roy Alonso
a longtime friend: Benny Civitello
Graveside services will be 12:30 PM Monday (March 15, 2010) in Woodland Cemetery with Minister Brad Poe officiating. Friends may call Monday from 11 AM until 12 noon at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio.
