Irma G. Pozza Quick was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 29, 1926, and began her eternal life on November 4, 2011. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, of sixty years who passed away in 2007. Irma was an adored wife, mother and devout Catholic. She was a member of Christ the King Church. She is survived by three sons, Chuck, Ray and Phillip, all of Little Rock; two daughters, Debbie Higgins and Tina Granberry of McKinney, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Irma attended Good Counsel Elementary School and was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's High School in 1944. She was extremely active during high school where she served on various committees and was a member of the Homecoming Court in 1944. She was a professional vocalist on the radio program called "In the Land of Make Believe." Irma also made a recording of the song, Ave Maria.
Irma was an office administrator for Dr. Marion Brown, DDS, during the late seventies and early eighties. She was involved in the local chapter of "Meals on Wheels" program in the 1980's and volunteered regularly for several years.
A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock, with the Reverend Jason Tyler officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Msgr. Francis I. Malone and Reverend Jason Tyler, celebrants. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please send donations to the Arkansas Alzheimer's Association, 1202 Main Street, Little Rock, Arkansas; or the Monsignor Herbert Endowment Fund at Christ the King School, 4002 North Rodney Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72212.
