Isabelle Deana Duke Sharp

Our beloved mother, Isabelle Deana Duke Sharp, died on June 18, 2010 of circumstances incident to age. She was born on April 19, 1919 in Heber City, Utah to Victor James and Emma Jean Jacob Duke. She married her sweetheart Fenton Lamont Sharp on a dare in Coalville, Utah on Dec. 5, 1936. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, LDS Temple. Fenton passed away January 6, 1971.

She and Fenton had seven children: Vee J (Judy), Jerry L., Drew A., Kelly D. (deceased), Kae Lynne (James) Sundberg, Robert D., and J. Clair (Kim). She had 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mother devoted her life to her children and the children of others, serving in the Primary organization of the LDS Church for 25 years.

She was sustained through the pain and suffering of her last years by her sense of humor and her abiding faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at St Mark’s Hospital and CNS Hospice for their care and comfort given in the last days of her life.

At her request there will be no funeral service. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. in Holladay, Utah. Interment will be at the Midway Cemetery, Midway, Utah.
