Ivan W. Weaver, 72, of Fort Pierce, passed away, February 2, 2012, at the Treasure Coast Hospice residence in Fort Pierce, FL.
Born in Grant County, Indiana, he had been resident of Treasure Coast for 40 years coming from Marion, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy, stationed at the U.S Naval Air Station, Brunswick, Maine.
Before retiring, he was an aircraft production executive for Hoosier Metal, ERK a manufacturer of military jet engine parts. He was also the founder/owner of Ray Van Industries in Palm City and later opened a "Green" lighting company with friends. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Demerest Voorhees Weaver in 1985.
Survivors include sons, Raymond G. Weaver and Chris Allan Weaver, both of Fort Pierce, FL; a daughter Tammy Lynn Belnick of Denver, Colorado; a sister Marilyn Marlene Ring of Fort Pierce, FL; his companion Beth Bumgardner of Fort Pierce and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Friends may call from 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm in our chapel. Inurnment will held at later date at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
