J. Frank Williams
Greenville, SC

James Franklin Williams, 88, passed away Thursday evening, December 1, 2011 at his home.

Born in Travelers Rest, he was a son of the late Arthur Warren and Nan Bates Williams.

Mr. Williams was a well known real estate developer for more than fifty years. He specialized in residential development in the Berea area of Greenville. He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the Grady Bishop Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Julia King Williams, of the home; his nieces, Carolyn Patterson and husband, Wayne, and Marilyn Amick and husband, Ron; his nephew, William B. Williams; very special friends, Earl Rice, Ann Stone, Larry and Betty Tinsley, Benny Batson and Jim Cisson. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Warren Williams, Jr..

The funeral service will be at 3pm Sunday afternoon, December 4th at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverends Daniel Lee and Joe Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Bethel Baptist Church, 403 Sulphur Springs Road, Greenville, SC 29617 or to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road Simpsonville, SC 29680.

The family would like to thank Beverly Brown, Sheba Fuller and Bob Wilson for their loving and devoted care shown to Mr. Williams.
