J. L. Barentine, 82, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Born February 20, 1929 in Hot Springs to Leonard R and Myrtle Still Barentine, he was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Veteran. He was predeceased by his wife, Dimple Barentine.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry R. and Melanie Barentine of Hot Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Gaye and Butch Goines of Pearcy; three grandchildren, Stacy Lynch and husband Brandon, Melissa Puckett and husband Jeff, all of Hot Springs, and Kevin Goines and wife Ali, of Camden; sister-in-law, Mariam Purtle of Prescott; two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Gardens with Reverend Roy McLeod officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home.
