James Roger Garvin, 74, of Little Rock passed away on Wednesday, September 28th, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville Arkansas to Belton and Margaret (Quigley) Garvin on June 2, 1937. A longtime member of Lifeline Baptist Church, he was retired from Otasco. Roger enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved sports. He was a true Razorback fan. He treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jerry.
Roger leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over 46 years Marilyn; his children Kim Espejo (Patrick) of Springdale and Lance Garvin (Laura) of Little Rock; his grandchildren Austin, Elizabeth, Ryan and Abby; his siblings Billie (Sue) Patton, Robert H. "Buddy" Garvin, Alice Holt, William E. "Bill" Garvin and Steve Garvin and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss him dearly.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 7th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. (501) 455-1067, with Phillip Blunk officiating. Inurnment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
