J.B. Ferguson

Mr. J. B. Ferguson, age 89 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away November 20, 2011. He was born in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Gabe Berry and Ivy Williams Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lois Margaree Tuggle Ferguson. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and had worked at the Fulton Bag Cotton Mill where he met his future wife. He then went on to retire from Southland Life Insurance Company. J.B. was a Mason and enjoyed vegetable gardening, working crossword puzzles, playing horse shoes and watching Westerns. Survivors include his sons, Don (Glenda) Ferguson and Doug (Paula) Ferguson all of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Keith and Kelly Ferguson, Deena (John) Scott; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Ola B. Smith of Stockbridge; nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
